Brian Shaw is a mental health therapist and clinical social worker in Omaha, Nebraska. He provides counseling, to adults and couples ages 18-99. Brian WELCOMES ALL in his practice with an open heart and mind; people of color, black, white, gay, straight, trans, cis, binary or non-binary, conservative or liberal. Brian is available for in-person and telehealth therapy sessions for those in Nebraska and Iowa, as he is licensed in both states. Brian Shaw Psychotherapy is located in the historic Old Market District on the corner of 13th & Leavenworth in Omaha, Nebraska (with ample free parking in a private lot). The office is across the street from Nebraska Medicine Old Market Clinic and Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. 

About Me

Brian Shaw is a clinical social worker and psychotherapist with over 22 years of behavioral health experience. Brian obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and trained at Creighton Psychiatry Clinic in Omaha. He holds a post-graduate certification in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He completed the Sex Therapy Training Program at The Buehler Institute. Brian is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. He is a licensed independent mental health practitioner (LIMHP) and licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) in Nebraska and a licensed independent social worker (LISW) in Iowa. Brian is a BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and gender affirming therapist.
